Toronto & the Greater Toronto Area
The GTA is the City of Toronto plus the regional municipalities of Peel, York, Durham and Halton. Toronto, Mississauga, Brampton, Vaughan and Hamilton are already served on our own equipment.
Hamilton sits in the wider Toronto-Hamilton area. It is not a GTA municipality, but freight to and from Hamilton runs on our equipment the same way.
WHY PER-SKID LTL
Pay for the Skids, Not the Trailer
Full truckload means the trailer is yours whether you load two skids or twenty. LTL shares the trailer with freight from other shippers, so you are priced on the space and weight you actually use.
Weight, dimensions and density all move the number. A tall, light skid can cost more than a short, heavy one because it occupies cube another shipper cannot use.
DELIVERY REQUIREMENTS
Dock or Tailgate?
Tell dispatch what the building has. It changes how the freight comes off the truck.
Raised loading dock
Freight rolls on and off with a pallet jack, level with the trailer floor. This is the standard, no extra charge.
Tailgate delivery
No dock at ground level. Freight comes down on a lift gate instead. Flag this on the quote so it is priced correctly.
Appointments
Some receivers require a booked delivery window. Say so on the quote and dispatch will plan around it.
