FREIGHT SERVICES

What Khloe Transport Moves

We move palletized freight between business docks in Toronto and the GTA, and we charge for the skids rather than the trailer. One truck, one route, your skids on it beside somebody else's.

LESS THAN TRUCKLOAD

LTL Freight for Shipments That Do Not Fill a Trailer

A full truckload rents you the whole trailer whether you load two skids or twenty. We put your skids on a route with freight from other businesses and price the space and weight they take.

That is the whole model. If you have one to forty skids and a dock at each end, this is what you are buying. Above forty, email us and we quote it by hand.

PALLETS AND SKIDS

Palletized Freight, Standard Sizes and Odd Ones

The common Canadian pallet is 48 inches by 40 inches. Our driver moves it with a pallet jack, so anything that will not take a pallet jack is not a fit here.

Build the skid the way it will travel: wrapped, labelled, and stacked only if the freight underneath can carry the freight on top. Measure it with the wrap and the overhang included, because that is what takes up the trailer.

LOCAL COVERAGE

Six GTA Cities, Plus Hamilton

We run Toronto, Etobicoke, Mississauga, Brampton, Vaughan and Markham on our own trucks. Hamilton is a separate additional service area, not part of the GTA.

We pick up from businesses

Give us the shipper's full address, postal code and a name at the dock. Our driver calls that person on arrival, not a switchboard.

We deliver to businesses

Tell us who receives it, what the door looks like, and whether they book an appointment. We plan the stop around that.

Dispatch confirms both ends

A city in our list is not the same as a confirmed stop. Dispatch checks the two real addresses on your quote before anyone books a truck.

DELIVERY CONDITIONS

Dock or Tailgate, at Either End

A raised dock and a ground-level door need different equipment. Tell us which one each building has and we bring the right truck.

Raised dock
Our driver rolls the skid straight off with a pallet jack. This is the standard and it costs nothing extra.
Tailgate
No dock, so the truck's own power liftgate lowers the skid to the ground. Flag it on the quote and we price it there.
Appointment
Some receivers only take freight in a booked window. Give us the window and dispatch plans the route around it.

SHIPMENT RECORDS

Bill of Lading In, Proof of Delivery Out

Our driver signs for your freight against a bill of lading at pickup, and the receiver signs for it at the other end. That signature becomes your proof of delivery, and it lands in My Freight with the rest of the shipment's documents.

What We Need From You, Once

Have this in front of you and the quote takes a couple of minutes.

  • Both business addresses, with postal codes.
  • How many skids, and what is on them.
  • Weight, in pounds or kilograms. Either is fine.
  • Length, width and height of each skid, wrap included.
  • Dock or tailgate, at each end.
  • Any appointment window the receiver insists on.

FREIGHT QUESTIONS

Questions Shippers Ask About Khloe Services

Do you carry anything that is not on a pallet?

No. If a pallet jack cannot lift it, we are the wrong carrier and we will say so rather than take the booking.

How do I know whether I need a tailgate?

Walk out to the door. If a truck can back up to it and the floor is level with the trailer, that is a raised dock. Anything else, including a roll-up door at ground level, needs a tailgate.

Do you publish a standard delivery time?

No. We would rather quote your two docks than publish a transit time we have not measured on that pair.

Do you do same-day, cross-border or full truckload?

None of the three. We run scheduled local LTL and nothing else, which is why we are good at it.

Where do I find proof of delivery?

In My Freight, on the shipment, as soon as the receiver has signed. You can download it there.

READY TO PLAN THE MOVE?

Request a Quote for Your Pallets or Skids

Send us the two docks and the skids. We will send back a number for the freight you actually have.
